Millwork Solutions wasn’t built overnight. In 1988, Robin Smith started with a dream, a modest bank loan, and some used equipment purchased from a farmer. Focusing on general contractors and school ISD bond projects, he established a strong foundation for the company. Early on, we embraced efficiency through “lean manufacturing” and “just-in-time” inventory control. Investing in CNC technology and design software further automated our custom processes, boosting profitability and allowing us to compete with a competitive edge.

The industry landscape isn’t static, and neither are we. By 1998, we recognized a shift in market demand and successfully adapted to serve the healthcare and private sectors. Our commitment to innovation continued in 2004 with the implementation of “nested-base manufacturing” and the acquisition of a new CNC Flat Table Router, further streamlining our operations.

2008 brought a major economic challenge, but Millwork Solutions persevered. By focusing on job costing, implementing efficient office procedures, and prioritizing our talented workforce, we navigated the recession while maintaining exceptional quality.
